The students arrived all safe and sound today. We went to the Embankment tube stop, walked across the Millenium Bridge, and by Parlament and Big Ben. We walked through St. James Park up to Buckingham Palace. They opened a gate by us into the palace and we saw the Qween be driven out. Our group all waved and she waved back at her. It was a surprise that she had not hat on! We kept walking through Trafalgar Square -- here here to Lord Nelson. AND the Canadian Embasy sits proudly on one side of the whole square. A quick trip to Covent Gardens (where Audrey Hepburn was selling flowers in My Fair Lady). Then back home and out again to a Turkish dinner and to the Internet Cafe. A great day.
