My favorite DAY. We took the train to Peterborough with a transfer and then on to Stamford. Incredibly beautiful town. They filmed some street scenes for the new Pride & Prejudice film here. We went to Burghley House -- WOW -- this was Aunt Kathryn DeBurgh's home in Pride & Prejudice. I have not seen anything like it. Incredible. They also filmed a couple of scenes from DaVinci Code there.
We had a snack and enjoyed their beautiful grounds including a pond with many many and many LARGE koi in it. Hanna would have loved it!
